HighTechXL is teaming up with 3D printing giant DSM and industry partners Hexagon and Ultimaker to turn the conventional manufacturing industry on its head.
DSM, a global science company and pioneer in additive manufacturing, wants to accelerate and invest in your business.
DSM has issued the I AM Tomorrow Challenge, a global call for entry, to digital startups focused on data analytics, AI and other advanced software to streamline the 3D printing process flow.
From the I AM Tomorrow website: Do you believe in the power of Additive Manufacturing (aka 3D printing) to create a more sustainable world, and do you have expertise in software and digital solutions?
Once again, a global tech company is looking to startups and scale-ups to help them accelerate internal R&D projects, and they realize they can’t do it alone. They’re looking to startups for tech solutions to build the digital ecosystem and help transform manufacturing.
DSM has world-class materials expertise, global reach, a vast network of customers and industry partners.
And the funds.
They’re willing to invest and build partnerships before the end of the year.
During the selection event, startups will meet with additive manufacturing experts, network and get feedback on business propositions on the spot. DSM’s focus? To create a more sustainable future through additive manufacturing.
The stakes go up after the selection event. Ten startup finalists will be invited to join a 10-week acceleration program in two tech and innovation centers: Boston, MA (USA) and Eindhoven (The Netherlands) at HighTechXL on High Tech Campus.
At the end of it all, DSM will invite selected startups to become official partners and announce which startups are eligible for funding from DSM Venturing.
Digital startups focused on streamlining industrial additive manufacturing in the first three stages of the 3D printing process flow: defining part requirements, part design and materials selection and part modeling and simulation. Startups should be in post-prototype phase and have successfully validated value propositions with customers.
DSM is looking for startups who:
June 18: Applications open
August 8: Application period ends 23:59 GMT
August 13: Selection announcement
August 29-30: Selection event at HighTechXL, Eindhoven (NL)
September 16 – November 22: I AM Tomorrow Challenge program
Please note: Accommodations will be made available. If your application results in any extra costs, compensation is possible.
