High-Resolution Wavelength Meter
Based on the PIC version of a Mach-Zehnder interferometer (MZI)
We’re seeking a co-founder opportunity in intelligent image sensing to advance CMOS-based in-sensor computing technology. Modern sensors, cameras, LiDAR, and IoT devices, generate massive volumes of data continuously. Transmitting this data to external processors or cloud servers requires high bandwidth and energy, while the physical separation between sensing and processing introduces latency that limits real-time responsiveness in intelligent systems.
The solution lies in intelligent image sensing, based on in-sensor computing. This technology combines sensing and memory in a single device, enabling real-time detection, processing, and on-sensor data storage. Using CMOS and Silicon-on-Insulator (SOI) technology, these sensors integrate photodetectors with single-transistor memory or ferroelectric transistors (FeFET), creating light-sensitive devices with non-volatile storage. The technology is compatible with existing CMOS fabrication, energy-efficient, reduces e-waste, and has high yield potential. Laboratory fabrication has already demonstrated successful image-sensing capabilities.
