Graizend –  Preventing Falls and Empowering Independence 

In Europe, 1 in 3 people over 65 and 1 in 2 over 80 experience a fall each year. These incidents cost the EU around €25 billion annually in medical expenses and exact a heavy societal toll as well. With the elderly population projected to grow by 60% by 2050, fall-related injuries are expected to rise sharply without effective interventions. 

Graizend is an early stage deep-tech startup based in the Netherlands, building wearable solutions to prevent falls. Our discreet, comfortable devices and algorithms will empower seniors to live safely and independently. 

We’re creating a scalable, EU-made innovation to transform senior care, and we’re looking for a visionary Technology officer to join us on this mission. 

As our Technology officer you will… 

• Lead strategic partnerships with academic and clinical institutions 

• Collaborate with suppliers to align on product and platform goals 

• Oversee regulatory filings (MDR Class IIa), grants/subsidies, and IP strategy 

• Contribute to shaping the company’s vision and long-term strategy  

• Plan next steps in the development of the technology. 

Who You Are 

You have: 

• A background in Biomedical  or Biosensors Engineering. 

• Deep understanding of biosensors in wearable devices (e.g., ECG, PPG, , , , sensors 

• Exposure to EU regulatory standards 

• Fluent Dutch Language skills (This is a must have) 

• A self-driven, adaptable mindset with a passion for building meaningful solutions 

You’re an experienced engineer or researcher with hands-on expertise in: 

• Hardware/software integration for wearable tech 

•  Hardware architecture and firmware development for low-power, wearable systems. 

• Experience in embedded systems 

• FDA/ CE/MDR compliance (Class II/ Class IIa ideally)
