About Aircision

Aircision is a deep-tech startup on the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven and a spin-off of TNO. We build free-space optics (FSO) terminals that send data through the air on laser beams, delivering fiber-like speeds over several kilometers. Together with TU/e, we recently set a world record for optical wireless data transmission. We are a small, hands-on team where your work directly shapes our products.

The role

You will help complete several designs in Autodesk Fusion for a mast-mounted system combining electronics, optics, and cabling. You will work closely with our electronics and optics engineers, supported by a project manager, a system architect, and an experienced mechanical expert.

You will:

• Develop and detail designs in Autodesk Fusion, from concept to production-ready drawings and BOMs
• Integrate PCBs, electronics, optics, and cabling, taking thermal, structural, and vibration constraints into account
• Validate designs with basic calculations and simulations
• Work with the other disciplines to resolve open points and close each design

Your profile

• Bachelor’s degree (HBO/BSc) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Preferably 1–2 years of experience in mechanical design; recent graduates with relevant internships are also welcome
• Hands-on experience with Autodesk Fusion (strong experience in SolidWorks or Inventor is also considered)
• Basic knowledge of structural mechanics, vibration, and thermal management
• Experience with FEA or simulation is a plus
• Good communicator in English who enjoys working across disciplines
• You like the startup mood: fast pace, short lines, and taking initiative
• Available to start at short notice
