Spectral IQ is building the sensing infrastructure layer that will underpin the next generation of early-stage bioprocessing and drug discovery.

Today, critical R&D decisions are made on sparsely sampled, partially observed biological systems. As AI-driven drug development and capital efficiency pressures intensify, continuous, reliable experimental data will become the new standard, not the exception.

We are developing non-invasive, scalable optical sensing systems that integrate directly into OEM laboratory equipment, enabling continuous monitoring without disrupting existing workflows.

We are looking for a CTO to join as co-founder and take ownership of translating this architecture into a manufacturable, scalable, and commercially deployable product platform.

As the CTO you will:

• Own the Product Lifecycle: Lead development from proof-of-concept to pilot-ready, scalable product platform.
• Architect the System: Translate product vision into an executable roadmap across hardware, firmware, signal integrity, and optical sensing.
• Drive Industrialization: Define DFM/DFA strategy, manage suppliers, and establish manufacturing readiness for scalable deployment.
• Build the Foundation: Shape long-term IP direction, establish early technical workflows, and build the core engineering team.

You bring:

·  Proven Track Record: 8+ years of experience in hardware or deep-tech, with experience taking complex systems from concept to manufacturable product.

• Systems-Level Expertise: Strong understanding across mechanics, electronics, optics, and firmware.

·  Technical Leadership: Experience leading multidisciplinary teams or operating as a Principal-level engineer.
• Founder Mindset: Willingness to commit long-term with meaningful equity participation.

Nice to have:

• Experience in optical sensing, spectroscopy, or scientific/biomedical instrumentation
• Previous startup founder or early technical leader
• Experience with OEM integration or hardware scale-up
