inPhocal is a pioneering deep-tech scale-up redefining industrial laser marking. Our
proprietary optical technology enables an exceptionally long focus depth, unlocking
laser applications that were previously out of reach. After years of development,
inPhocal is now at a key turning point: with proven technology, validated use cases, and
growing market demand, we are ready to scale, and we’re looking for a commercial
leader to take us there.
What you’ll do:
As Chief Commercial Officer, you’ll take the lead in commercializing inPhocal’s
groundbreaking technology and scaling our go-to-market strategy. You’ll be the driving
force connecting the market opportunities, be the voice of the customer to bring
compelling propositions to the market as part of inPhocal’s management team. Your
responsibilities include:
○ Driving top line revenues to bring inPhocal to success
○ Defining and executing inPhocal’s global commercial strategy and channel strategy addressing the OEM channel for industrial equipment suppliers as well as end customer market in Food & Beverage segments to develop new applications with our technology.
○ Developing and leading OEM and direct sales channels across industries
○ Identifying new application areas and business opportunities for inPhocal’s core technology
○ Managing and expanding key customer relationships from initial contact through after-sales support
○ Building and overseeing a cross-functional commercial team, including marketing, sales, and service
○ Shaping our product-market fit by interfacing with engineering and product development teams
○ Representing inPhocal at international trade shows, conferences, and industry
events
○ Responsible for pricing strategy
○ Responsible for defining and shaping strategic cooperation and partnerships
Who we are looking for:
We’re looking for a commercial leader who thrives on building strategic innovation and
scaling cutting-edge technology. You are a strategic thinker and builder who knows
how to turn disruptive tech into a commercial success.
Must-haves:
● Minimum 10+ years of experience at management level, including OEM sales, ideally with hardware-based technologies
● Strong track record of developing multiple market segments based on a platform technology,
● Mastery of the complete commercial cycle, including market scanning, acquisition,
funnel management, key account management, sales and service
● Managerial experience across the commercial pipeline: marketing, sales, and aftersales/service
● Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership and curiosity
Nice-to-haves:
● Experience with B2B sales in industries like packaging, pharmaceuticals, food & beverage, or machinery
● Network within FMCG, packaging, industrial automation industries
● Background in technology drive products, such as laser, optics, or related deep-tech hardware
